The In-Line Fig 800 Quick Actuating Closure
Primarily for horizontal pipeline applications. Hinges are available for left or right swing. The head, hub, and clamp rings fully meet the requirements of ASME Section VIII, Division 1.
Pressure Alert Fitting (PAV)
The Pressure Alert Fitting alerts the operator of internal pressure before opening the clamps. It also pins the movement of the clamp; only activation and removal of the fitting will allow closure operation.
Clamp Pin
The Clamp Pin provides additional redundancy, locking the clamp rings in position while the closure is shut. Operation of the clamp pin is only possible after the Pressure Alert Fitting is removed.
Flange Option
The Flange Option allows for removal and reuse of the closure. Flange size, weight bolt count varies with pressure rating. Available in pressures ANSI 150 - ANSI 600.

PAV
Description
Each Closure is equipped with a Pressure Alert Fitting (PAV) in accordance with ASME Section VIII, Division 1, UG-35.
It's designed to alert the operator of internal pressure prior to operation of the clamping mechanism.
The fitting will also pin the movement of the clamping mechanism; only activation and removal of the fitting allow closure operation.

Toggle Actuator
Description
The Toggle Actuator allows simple and rapid movement of the clamp rings, minimizing operating time.
All operating features are located on one side (opposite the hinge), positioning the operator safely away from the front of the door during unlocking operation.

Clamp Pin
Description
The Clamp Pin works in conjunction with the Toggle Actuator and Pressure Alert Fitting to provide an additional level of redundancy, locking the clamp rings in position while the closure is closed.
The Clamp Pin also serves as a backup locking mechanism in the event of Toggle Actuator failure. Operation of the Clamp Pin is only possible after the Pressure Alert Fitting has been activated.

Dust Caps
Description
The Dust Caps protect the assembly used to set the position of the cap door. They are set in place with 3” long hex bolts which must first be removed to adjust the door positioning.
Set Scews
Description
The Set Screws allow repositioning of the door in all directions, to ensure a proper seal. See the Instructions section of this application for a detailed description of how to adjust the screws for door positioning.

Clamp Rings
Description
The Clamp Rings provide secure positioning of the door and are opened/closed via the handle/toggle actuator assembly. The inside surface of these rings must have a thorough application of grease to prevent excessive damage with usage.
O-Ring
Description
Each Closure includes an Elastomeric Seal in the door, protected from damage caused by the passage of tools and pigs.
Seal sizes are industry standard and do not require special orders.
The standard elastomer material is Highly Saturated Nitrile (HSN); other elastomer materials are available upon request.
